About the event

Sumedha Biswas - Radboud University, the Netherlands PhD candidate in multimessenger astrophysics who enjoys writing beyond science, and tracks her travels through a growing map of museums she’s visited. About the talk: Where Do Black Holes Collide? A Violent Game of Cosmic Hide-and-Seek We can hear two black holes violently colliding through ripples in spacetime called gravitational waves. But there’s a catch: we usually can’t see these events with telescopes, making it difficult to know where in the universe they happened. In this talk, I’ll explain how astronomers detect these invisible collisions and why locating them is such an imp
ortant cosmic challenge.

Ramit Mitra -Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE), Bengaluru A budding ecologist and diverse dabbler currently exploring agroecology, the insect world, and more. I love archiving rooted stories true to culture and tradition, with a knack for sketching and snapping.
