About the event

Anshuman Borgohain, IUCAA Pune : Galaxies in Technicolor Galaxies are vast systems containing billions of stars - but they haven’t always looked the way they do today, and they won’t stay the same forever. The changes they undergo unfold over millions and billions of years - far beyond human lifetimes. So how do we figure out their story? Join me to see how astronomers use today’s most powerful telescopes, on the ground and in space, to observe galaxies near and far in different colours, and piece together the puzzle of how they grow and evolve across cosmic time.

Moon Moon Devi, Tezpur University : Let's chase the neutrinos

Neutrinos are tiny, nearly massless particles proposed by Wolfgang Pauli and first detected by Frederick Reines and Clyde Cowan. Produced in stars, reactors, and cosmic events, they rarely interact with matter. Experiments like Super-Kamiokande revealed neutrino oscillations, proving they have mass and offering…
