Dr. Aakriti Jain - University of Delhi Aakriti Jain is a scientist driven by a passion for applying artificial intelligence to improve human health and is sustained by translating science to and for the society, a Young Scientist Award winner, U21 Global Awards finalist, her research has taken her to international platforms in Japan, Singapore and Liverpool and beyond the lab, she embraces life with curiosity— experimenting in and on life and finding balance through books, food, yoga and a taste for the simple (and sometimes chaotic) life. About the talk: Finding Fungi - Friends, Foes or something in between?

Through this talk, I aim to trace the rise of fungi from overlooked organisms to formidable human pathogens. With only a limited arsenal of antifungal drugs—and resistance rapidly emerging against the few that exist—we are facing a race we cannot afford to lose. I will highlight how artificial intelligence can help us…
